Interim Head of School Weekly Update – Friday 27th March 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,
Many thanks for your continued support during these challenging and unprecedented times. I hope this post finds our families well and in god spirits!
We have received many positive messages and comments about the Home Learning packs, which were given out last Friday. We really hope the children have enjoyed working on these.
Our intention for this week was to try and do the same. However, following the Government’s announcement, earlier this week, we have had only the minimum number of staff working on the school site, with the decision taken that staff will work from home. It means that, for this week, it has not been possible for us to replicate the Home Learning packs in the same way. Staff have worked incredibly hard and have produced a selection of activities to be completed at home, including work and activities that can be completed in the diary journal book and some online activities, too.
Our plan is to continue to review the way in which we can set learning tasks to be completed at home. Class teachers will be communicating the home learning activities with you later today and we will continue to update our Facebook page with links to activities that can be done from home, to help keep everyone engaged, active and to maybe try some new things too.
Your kind messages have been shared with staff here. Thank you! Our School Office email address is checked daily –
Take care and look after yourselves!
With my very best wishes,
Mr Laker
