At the end of each paragon unit, children participate in different activities to demonstrate and share with parents what they have learnt during the unit.
Parents are invited into school to watch assemblies or participate in special “events”, such as sharing in a roman feast or joining in with classroom activities.
Paragon performances at Oakwood Primary Academy have proved to be extremely popular events, with children performing with great confidence, to packed audiences. Children make their own costumes and jewellery, as well as a variety of props and artefacts linked to their latest topic. They narrate and dramatise stories, perform songs, raps and dances and even game shows to showcase what they have learned about a particular time, place and culture.
